I just found out I’m going to be a dad.

My wife came home with a present for me that contained a card and a book. Cute really. I think I read the card like three times before I understood what I was reading. It was like I suddenly had a reading comprehension level of a 4 year old. The only thing I could find to say was “Are you sure?” that was the alternate answer to “How did that happen?”. I think I chose the right answer.
I am going to use this blog to post updates and interesting news I come across while my little bundle of joy brews in mom’s womb. From Dr. Appointments, picking a crib all the way to birth, I am going to write about the entire process from a mans point of view.
There is a difference between how men approach these situations and women. I am sure that I will get some flaming comments while I write out my thoughts and opinions but that’s the entire point of this site. “How to be a daddy” is just that, a blog about fatherhood. I wont be perfect but I will do my best.
If you have a blog that talks about this topic, let me know so I can follow you too. Being a dad is something I have wanted for a long time and now I get to experience it and share it with all of you.

@Genuine – Thanks. I have had a good time looking back at my personal blog over the years to see how much life has changed and I think that starting one for my child will be golden.
@Jill- It’s still early. Only 5-6 weeks along. I know there are reasons to hold off spreading the news until after three months but we were too excited.
